lately i’ve been wanting badly oh so badly to make a summer mix. but everything i start sounds like hazy 3AM summer, and that’s not the kind of mix you’re supposed to make. i want to make fool’s gold and japandroids, but i keep ending up with phosphorescent and unbunny.
“I don’t give a fuck if you don’t know what I’m talking about—this is art. When you go see a painting on the wall and it looks bugged out because you don’t know what the fuck he thinking, because he ain’t got no benches, no trees there, it’s just a splash. The n**** that did it know that the fuck it is.”—Ghostface Killah on art (via meagannnn) (via art-history) (via oldfamiliarway)
my newest love. (truly, madly, deeply). hoquiam is a collection of songs damien jurado wrote with his little brother, drake. they only pressed 500 copies, and each cover is hand-designed by damien and drake. i’ve only listened to the first song, “zombies of the sea,” so far - but you should hear it, too. love it, too. etc, too.
